My own father passed away nearly 20 years ago and I only have a few recordings of his music and no recordings of his voice, which I wish I had to listen to and pass along to my children.

Some of the characters that troll up and down Hollywood Blvd. got into a huge brawl last week in front of the Kodak Theatre where many tourists visit.

Catwoman, in particular, pepper sprayed a man dressed as Jack Sparrow when the two got into a physical altercation. A second pirate and alien were also allegedly involved in the fight.

Catwoman claims she maced Jack in self-defense because "he was antagonizing me to do so."

This is what she told news reporters:

"I said, 'I'm giving you fair warning. If you do not get away from me I will spray you in the face.'"

And, so she did.

And we know she's not lying because Willy Wonka confirmed her story.

Well, then, now that we know Willy Wonka's on the case, everybody should feel safe.

This isn't the first time the characters of Hollywood Blvd. have tussled in front of tourists who visit the area.

Last September, SpongeBob SquarePants was arrested after getting violent with two women on the street. In another incident, Spider-Man was taken away in handcuffs too.

In all seriousness, LAPD needs to crack down on the weirdos that creep up and down the streets. It's not even funny to see their ridiculous cheap-ass costumes parade around Hollywood and Highland. It just makes us sad now.

Glee: Michael Jackson Episode Recap (PHOTOS)

I wasn’t sure how tonight’s Michael Jackson episode would fare, was it going to be a huge disappointment? Absolutely not. The kids did a great job of honoring the King of Pop, and the one hour episode was jam packed with song and dance. Without further ado, here’s tonight’s recap. The episode begins with Blaine’s rendition of “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”, joined by Mercedes, Kurt, Santana and Brittany. Nice way to kick off the show. Loved it. Sequined glove and all. Finn finds Rachel at her locker and tells her it’s been three days to the minute since he’d proposed to her and she claims that she does want to marry him but everything is happening so fast. Okay, he says. Take a few more days to think it over. It’s been decided that New Directions will channel MJ during Regionals. As the kids are getting their caffeine fix, Rachel tells the gang that she just doesn’t get who Michael Jackson is. In walks Sebastian, who informs them that the Warblers will be doing MJ at Regionals and they’re up first so New Directions best be thinking of something else. Was Charles Alkan really a mystery as the pianist Ronald Smith (a champion of Alkan's works) called him in the title to his biography of the composer Alkan the Enigma? There is an essay by Stephanie McCallum, herself a pianist and champion of Alkan's works in her own right, that discusses the possibility that Alkan suffered from a form of autism or a mental illness. The fact that Alkan went into seclusion about 1848 after a brilliant start to his career as a composer and performer does beg the question.

Stars Party At Sundance And First Film Gets Standing Ovation

It’s winter and the time of year that the stars come out to play at Park City, Utah, for the annual Sundance Film Festival. This year there are a whole horde of celebs promoting their films and partying together over the 10 day event. There must be so many stories and goings on…what happens in [...]

Last night I saw the brilliant Cynthia Nixon play a role on stage what could well be the performance of her life, and that will see her take home the Tony award. Wit has just opened on Broadway in NY and she got not 1 but 2 standing ovations for her portrayal of Vivian Bearing, a stage 4 ovarian cancer patient undergoing aggressive treatment… Oh my goodness, it took my breath away!

Wit is on at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater and if you are in NYC or passing through, I cannot recommend this play more highly. Cynthia Nixon is most well known for her portrayal of Sex and the city’s Miranda, and I would assume that most people see her as a good actress but maybe not a great one. I never imagined that she would be this good! I now see her as an outstanding actress.

Margaret Edson’s play, cleverly titled ‘Wit’ is about about cancer and poetry. It was Off Broadway in the late 1990s and won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for drama. Don’t expect light comedy, but humor (the most profound and amazing kind) is in abundance. The story centers on a poetry professor (Cynthia) reflecting on her life, relationships and own humanity as she lies in hospital dying from a very aggressive form of cancer.

Cynthia Nixon never leaves the stage, and performs what appears to be a monologue, a one-woman show stopping performance. I think I can say quite confidently that it was one of the bravest, most vulnerable performances I have ever seen (not to give too much away about the end) but Cynthia has shaved her head for the role and has 100% shed every ounce of Miranda left in her. Cynthia herself is a cancer survivor, and I do believe that she is treating this play and this character as the role of her life…

I left the theater blown away, numb, and the woman siting next to me told me that she is a 9 year survivor of stage 4 ovarian cancer. This just topped off my night – if I didn’t have shivers running down my body already (which I did), I certainly did after that.

See this show!!! I very rarely say this without reservation… and expect to laugh, cry and be thoroughly transformed. I will never watch a scene with Carrie and Miranda the same way again.

We've just learned that Prince Harry is set to climb Mt. Everest this spring, along with members of his soldier-benefiting charity group Walking With the Wounded.

No official statement has been made regarding this epic adventure, although Harry's spokesman has said that his involvement here will "all depend on his Army commitments."

One of Harry's potential climbing buddies, 21-year-old Mollie Hughes, HAS spoken up on the subject. Here's what she had to say about it:

"He won't be doing the full climb, as it will take a long time and it requires rigorous training, so I think he'll be joining at base camp."

Still INCREDIBLY impressive!

If Harry ends up going through with this, we will certainly wish him the best of luck...but we'll hope he takes absolutely every precaution to stay safe on this treacherous climb!
